Charles E. Rawlings, M.D., J.D.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Dr. Rawlings was actively involved in medical malpractice litigation as a consultant, case reviewer, and expert witness for fourteen years.  He served as a reviewer for more than 300 cases nationwide, and provided both deposition and trial testimony in more than twenty-five cases. In addition to providing medical expertise , he acted as a consultant to a number of attorneys and law firms in matters concerning trial preparation.  
 
The combination of his many years of experience in the medical field, extensive involvement in malpractice litigation as a consultant and expert witness, and his official entry into the legal profession, places Dr. Rawlings in a position to offer a wide range of services to his clients.  

Cases at the intersection of law and medicine require specialized knowledge not only of the legal system, but also of the medical profession and medicine itself.  Accurate, thorough knowledge of both as well as access to the right resources are critical to a client's success.

Dr. Rawlings can provide both the medical and legal expertise necessary to bring your case to a successful conclusion.  Dr. Rawlings has significant litigation experience and is also a Board-certified Neurosurgeon, who practiced neurosurgery in Winston-Salem, NC starting in 1991 and until enrolling in law school.   As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Rawlings is intimately acquainted with, and highly knowledgeable about, cases involving traumatic brain injuries (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), birth accidents with neurological injuries, peripheral nerve injuries (PNI), spinal nerve damages, spine damage, brain tumors, strokes, and a multitude of other neurological conditions and symptoms.  In addition, as a physician and surgeon Dr. Rawlings has extensive knowledge with regard to other medical mishaps. He has the experience, expertise, and technical knowledge to advise and represent you in medical malpractice actions.

Robert is a native North Carolinian and a licensed North Carolina attorney. Robert completed his undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University and legal studies at Elon University School of Law.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Robert worked for nine years in retail sales and logistics. Now, as an officer of the court, Robert seeks to advocate for his clients in order to help bring a successful and efficient resolution to their case. Robert is a plaintiff's attorney representing individual clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, and professional negligence matters. Robert can also assist you with planning your simple estate.
